Not everone in South Africa, or anywhere else in the world, can afford to go into a "senior residence" when we cannot care for ourselves in our old age. Where do you see yourself when your parent becomes old, frail and in need of care?
Read this article from the Times online and think how you would feel in the same position. Is it your aged parent´s fault? Or is it your fault that you have to care for your parent, or that you perhaps feel as this person in the article does?

Have you ever put serious thought to this situation? I was luckily spared this agony. Although my brother offered to house our parents in a flat adjoining his house, our parents opted to move into an old aged home, and were lucky to have saved enough to cover this financial "burden".

My daughter just had a birthday and my parents (her grandparents) wanted to send her some money to buy a new cell phone as a present. This couldn't be done through the bank and a moneygram with Rennies was not allowed as well. Now I have to ask them to send the money to a Korean and he/she has to accept it on my behalf. Why is this?

I know someone who used the drug and got alienated from her family, but is getting back on track. My mother claims it is still a big problem even in our neighborhood these days. So what is being done about it? Did the government and police give up and leave it to the social workers to address, or what?

It is actually sad that type 2 diabetics are on the increase. This can be controlled so easily by diet, namely less alcohol, less sugar, less fat in the diet, and more excercise. Why spend millions on drugs and monsters when we have the world´s best supply of fresh fruit and vegetables on our doorstep?
Check what the drug company does with Gila Monsters:

Now this might be a crazy plan but me and a girlfriend are going to South Africa for a holiday and one of the "goals" of the trip is to get some Jouba loving from Andre who is super hot! We are confident we will succeed but my friend reckons that Andre does not speak English all that well. Is that true? Do all Afrikaaners speak English or is it more like a second language that they are not really fluent in? And if anyone has any intersting info on Andre, then let us know. Also how do you say, "you are incredibly hot" in Afrikaans?

Have, to date, been preserved from being snapped up by overseas property speculants ? We actually have to thank that nototrious Cecil John Rhodes for this.

Quote from the Mail & Guardian:
"Dying at the age of 49, Rhodes left almost his entire fortune to public service.

And as part of that vast bequest, he left the large area of land on the slopes of Table Mountain to the South African nation. Part of this estate became the upper campus of the University of Cape Town, part became the Kirstenbosch gardens, and the rest was left to the people of this glorious land in perpetuity with the proviso that it be protected from development. "

Fantastic, isn´t it?
