YES! A neighbour in Germany always wanted to be the best, the first, whatever, better than anyone else, and a proper know-it-all. We were all new neighbours in a new residential area with our brand newly built houses. A whole row of houses joined on to each other, with private back gardens.
So these show-offs, always bought themselves the "most original" "unique" things, for their house. And they got themselves a jetmaster. Unfortunately we had a much bigger, stove, with tiled seating, and different levels for cats to sit on, and to display things. The seating level really got cosily warm. Well, THAT was one too much for our neighbour, and every time we fired up our stove, she used to complain about the smoke, they could not have their windows open etc. And tried to get all the other neighbours on her side.
That peed us off so much that we decided: This is war. We started putting coal in the stove, so that it really stank. She tried to find some law that would get us into trouble. Nothing. All the other neighbours were on our side. When we moved back to SA, the new owners of our house vowed that they would also continue firing coal in the oven.
They have now moved out of the area.

Back in Berlin there was this girl living above me. And man... she was noisy. All day, all night stomping through her apartment in high heels, loud music and parties all the time. I eventually gave up on complaining and just let her do her thing.
But one time I was listening to loud music on a Saturday afternoon and she came down to tell me that she is studying for a big test and would like me to turn the music down! At first, I really did not know what to say. Then I started laughing hysterically and slammed the door shut. Of course, I didn't turn the volume down.
She never spoke to me again.

Halloween night my neighbors (who just began renting two weeks ago) threw a party. At this party they had plenty of under aged drinking. Not to mention everyone of them was a red neck. They insisting on telling their guests to park in my drive way. Even though i have repeatedly told them to stay out of my drive way. So after they went on a drunken hay ride we called the police. They pulled in behind the police car (into my drive way) and then the teens in the trailer began running frantically through my front yard and into the woods. To top it off the police man was a redneck and said he had known my neighbor since they were kids and she would never do such a thing. And left without a single charge.

I had an upstairs neighbor who said he was writing a book and needed absolute silence all day long so he could concentrate. Since we were in a neighborhood near a college the area was never quiet and he was always complaining to the landlord.

yes. My neighbor threw a brick at me for planting flowers in MY garden.

I lived there for 30 years. He lived there for not even 1 year. He was so jealous of me having a garden area in front of my house and he had no garden area.

Yes whenever we chat he lifts his leg and lets rip .I've asked him many times to fart somewhere else. Now I try and avoid talking to him . I'm not sure if he eats too much baked beans or he has a health problem.
