Now this might be a crazy plan but me and a girlfriend are going to South Africa for a holiday and one of the "goals" of the trip is to get some Jouba loving from Andre who is super hot! We are confident we will succeed but my friend reckons that Andre does not speak English all that well. Is that true? Do all Afrikaaners speak English or is it more like a second language that they are not really fluent in? And if anyone has any intersting info on Andre, then let us know. Also how do you say, "you are incredibly hot" in Afrikaans?

I know that Afrikaaners speak some English but are they all fluent in it? Do they speak it as well as they speak Afrikaans or pretty close to it. Its just that a friend of mine said that he read somewhere about a speech Jouba gave and before he started he said something about his english not being great. Anyway thanks for all the suggestions so far, keep them coming! Hope none of you have given me something indecent to say, woudn't want to offend Andre...especially since we want some lovin!

Yes all Afrikaans speaking people can speak english, wether it's fluent, or just average they can. The question is do they want to speak it, even though they can? Us Afrikaans people, especially the older generations are very proud of their language. The younger generations, like me, we don't care, we'll try to speak french if you're french :)

Pronounciation - Yay iis baa-ja on-track-lik
I can give you the cool one, but that would probably offend him (Jy is donners aantreklik) :D Don't use this one though...Basically means you're damn sexy/hot :)

Jouba is not the only hot Afrikaans speaking South African, Amber. And tell your friend all real South Africans speak English. You don't need to be fluent for loving.
