I think it's fine, up until your 15 - 17 where you study for 1 year straight for your exams in june or july i think and then you have to do the same again for another year. And then your marks from the exams you have done decide what university you go too.

That's the only bit i don't like in the system of education in Egypt..

We entered the year 2007, will the government fall down?
Will the oposition close the Port and Airport Road?
Will a civil war happen?

I am coming back to Beirut after a business trip outside Lebanon, is it safe for me to come now or shall I wait? Is everything open fine in Beirut or most are closed? (offices and shops I mean?)

Will the Marxist, criminal scum now running what used to be South Africa, into the ground, continue to steal and waste taxpayer money as its politicians embezzle, steal, rape and prescribe beetroot and garlic for AIDS sufferers?

I've seen that many Israelis are excellent at math and the sciences, particularly in mathematical sciences such as inorganic chemistry and physics. I have some Israeli friends who are brilliant engineers and doctors. I've heard that Israel publishes the most scientific papers per person than any other country in the world and Israel has the most physicists for its size than any other country. How are these guys so smart? Is it since they are Jewish, the education system is so good, or is it both?

We are trying to book our summer holiday. I have heard good things about Egypt (Sharm in particular) from a friend who goes often - however, I get the impression she doesn't venture out of the hotel. We are thinking of going, and taking our 16 yr old son, who loves snorkelling (one of the reasons we are thinking of this resort). We like nightlife - and staying out till the early hours when we are on holiday. Can anyone tell me if this is the right resort for us? We will be basically
1. sun-worshipping and snorkelling
2. eating out - whats the food like?
3. drinking till the early hours - is it possible here? what are the prices like?

With the increasing pressure on Egyptians, corruption, unfairness, the indirect monarchy regime we're heading to and the existence of true Egyptians who love their country.
Do you think we will witness another revolution at least during the coming 50 years?
