I know I can't hardly wait and hope they rid themselves of evil people and allow tourism.

If it was safe I would definitely go. There is so much history. I know people who went on business years ago and found it facinating. I think it will be along time unfortunitely. I have traveled in Afghanistan a bit a couple years ago while I was working there and I hope one day people can safely visit there too because it is a beautiful place with interesting history as well.

I don't think any country can be rid or "evil people" I think educating people is the key to getting these countries stable.

Yes. I would love to be able to visit Iraq in normal situations.
I can't hate a country like Iraq based on the war or who is running Iraq now.
But the history of this old country is amazing and worth knowing about it.
I was looking in Iraq on wikipedia, and I love it.

If there are any archeological sites left - they blew up most of the museum already.

Yes, I'd go if the war stopped raging. Its one of the original beds of civiliazation.
