All of Israel is beautiful, but I understand your point.

You should probably skip Judea and Samaria. It's a shame, but a definite nono for your intentions.

Stick to Israel's coastal plane- Nahariya (now that it's not being fired on!!) down to about Ashdod. Skip Ashkelon, which is farther south. The Palestinians are making a little balagan around that area and in the north-eastern part of the Negev.

But don't miss the whole Negev! You must travel to Be'er Sheva, Dimona, Yerucham and Eilat! Also, for interesting travel, look into organized Bedouin tents! However big their hospitality is, though, some Bedouins ..erm, have the tendancy to be criminal. Usually there are no problems in the Negev, just be careful where you leave your car ;)

Now that the Galilea isn't under attack, you must visit there, too! And, of course, the Golan- the eye of our country. Both are safe now, thank g-d.

Enjoy your stay! :)

Middle east in general isn't exactly tourist heaven right now, however if you stay at the more reputable hotels and don't go to places that you have been warned against by the people in the country you are visiting, it should be no worse that visiting the rest of the world. Be carefull, obey rules and don't make trouble, the world loves a traveller. have fun.

The quitest parts are on the roads built for "illegal settlers ",gaurded by Israeli soldiers (in Palestine) and off limits to those same Palestinians many of whom still have title to those lands. If you require Quiet Places in "Israel" then I suggest you complain to the Israeli Government about their treatment of the Palestinian people. and no Ido not support Suicide Bombings . I am a European for those who will make the usual assumption.

Eilat will be the most safe place, the southern city of Israel. having said that - all places are safe, I would'nt go to SDEROT these days, and stay in the border.

im here now and i always feel safe-a quieter place though is either the dead sea, masada area or the north-golan heights!
but jerusalem is the most holy so i feel a special safety cloud there! G-d is watching over you wherever you are, just dont put yourself into a trap!

all the non-arab places are safe. and i dont mean that in a racist way- its just a fact... -arabs walk around everywhere in jewish territory, and nothing happens to them, but if a jew ever walked into an all arab place- he'd come out in pieces...
oh yeah- stay away from sderot. the arabs keep shooting kassams at it...
