dubai is so modern that.. ı think it will be the most popularious city in the world.. like a paradise fallen to earth..
sea, sun, sands.. and that famous dubai hotel.. you have got even a palm tree shaped ısland city... this is wonderful.. and yes,, ı can say that dubai is already new york of middle east.. plus ,more beautiful than new york city... dubai is gonna make dubai towers in istanbul city/turkey ı m curious about it... how will it be?? even now, everybody in turkey talking about it..your builders work great.. with a super intelligent brain..
and soo creative.. so dubai is the most beautiful place in the world.. also müslim... it couldnt be better this much... ;)

Yes, It Does Resemble New York In A Lot Of Ways,
Its A Multi Cultural City,
Its A Global Melting Pot Of Cultures,
Its Got A Lot Of Traffic On The Road.
Its Got Umpteen No:of Buildings, Hotels, Parks Etc.
But Here, You Can Also See A Rich Mix Of Traditional & Modern World Co Existing Together, It Has 3/4 % Lower Crime Rate Than New York....
Personally I Just Love Dubai......

Well I haven't been to New York but I think Dubai is more tourist oriented then it is business orient, where as New York is a major Business centre. I mean there is a lot of business in Dubai but it certainly feels fairly relaxing (unless you are driving). Dubai is also very new and modern where as New York is a much older city.
I would compare Dubai more to Miami or even Las Vegas.

No, because Dubai has only 1 road which has SOME* skyliners building but in the U.S. New York City is full of skyliners building and even much better and bigger than Dubai has.
Why I am answering this with full details is because I am from New York working in Dubai. so you this question come to the right guy.

They say that based on the number of buildings being built there it is quite reminscent of new york when it was starting out its boom. The Dubai blueprint for development is quite impressive, we can only wait in anticipation.

No. NY has a history and identity but Dubai is just a city to pass through. Dubai is clean, NY is not.

I think its becoming the second New York now but more modern.. With the amount of buildings, traffic and people... it wasn't like this 10 years back but now i think its more like the US but I would more compare it to San Fransisco.
