If your an American citizen it would be much easier for you to go there than it will be for them to come here. All you have to do is get a passport and then you can get a 30 day visa right at the cairo airport when you land or you can get one prior to leaving the US. If you decide to try and bring them here it will be a long and continually expensive process which you will have to repeat at least twice possibly more. To fill out the appropriate forms you should visit the U.S. Embassy in Cairo's website. Here is a direct link to the visa section:
http://cairo.usembassy.gov/consular/index.htm
The process described on the page will probably have to be completed more than once so make sure whatever you submit or bring in you have multiple copies available in another location other than their office. There is a 90% chance their visas will be denied on the first attempt. About a 75% chance on the second attempt and probably 50% chance on the third attempt. The only exception would be if they are extremely rich and able to bribe their way through the process. Otherwise they tend to deny everyone. They denied my 50-something year old mother in law who had all papers in order. However if they deny a visa request they will only telll you something is wrong with your paperwork. They won't tell you what is wrong and they won't give back your papers they will confiscate all copies of the papers you have during your interview and you will never see those papers again (hence the importance of copies in another location so you can compare to try and find the so called "errors"). Good luck whatever you decide to do though.

Ask me!!!!!! Its extremely difficult to get an American visa, the procedures are VERY VERY VERY difficult and humiliating. i was rejected for a tourism visa and i really don't know why till now. I think its easier for u to come here, especially if u have an Egyptian Friend who will show u the real Egypt well.
Anyways u r more than welcomei in Egypt, I'm sure that u'll love it here.

easy for me cuz im an american citizen. but it is very hard and challenging for other non-citizen or those who do not have a green card or a visa. u go throw a lot of procedure and applications cost u an arm and a leg then u usually end up getting rejected. Glad I was born in USA :)

It is definitely easier to go there. Besides I highly recommend a trip to Egypt. This year was my first trip there and I will go 3 times a year now. I love the culture! Go for it. PS you will be shocked at how cheap it is there especially if you have a contact in country.
