Does anyone know why all passenger trains make a stop in Wellington, South Africa. This is my hometown and I know why, but most "Wellingdonners" don't have the foggiest. Do you know? And if so, what other interesting facts or famous people can you name from this picturesque place? We even have royalty from there. Can you name her?

This December I have about 8 days free off, and have to be in Spain for New Years anyway. W/ 8 days to spend, which would be better in terms of enough time allotted, cheapest flight, and logistics. I kind of want to see Morocco more, but am willing to do Spain if it would just be too hard to do.

Just reading the BBC news page.(check this link)

http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/em/fr/-/2/hi/africa/5333910.stm >

and it said that India has the highest number of AIDS sufferers in the world, not SA. Upon further research I found many sites giving the following figures SA 5.5 million, India 5.7 million.
I mean this is hardly good news, but it's something to point out to the racist bigots who come online moaning about the black goverment doing nothing, and blaming AIDS on them. You'll also see in the link our Minister of health, who incourages garlic for Aids, is being sidelined.(Yipee) Hopefully they'll get an expert on it now, and we can start to slow down the spread of this gastly disease, and the stigmas and taboo's that go with it.

I think after the recent criticism that the Boks received, they deserve a round of applause for finishing the Tri-Nations campaign on a high note....although there is still much to be done before the World Cup next year.

I've heard that in Saudi Arabia gender segregation is the norm, even among brothers and sisters. Is that true? Is it taboo in Saudi arabia for brothers and sisters to be close friends?

Can anybody give me some information on Cape Town in South Africa. I'm interested to know the safety factor. We know every city has its problems. Most people I talk to say its a great city but a few have been quite off-putting.
