When i went at the beginning of the year we just thought of it as 1GBP to 10 E£.
Everything is really cheap but they will try to scam the hell out of you! You can get a taxi to stay with you all day for 15-20GBP but they will try and take you to all their friends houses/shops to sell you everything from camel rides to trinkets. Keep in mind the annual salary is no where near what is is here.
