Amman as everybody said, just to comment on the earlier post, Amman is much different these days, it has grown much bigger in last five years, and it is really fun to live in these days, people changed from early sleepers and home stayers to out going and love to party, that is of course in the west side of Amman, do not think of living in it's eastern side

i lived there but was not fun at all
and i lived in lebanon too but its so much fun
to answer ur question i lived in amman which is the capital of jordan
and its the best if u want to live in jordan
u can live in jordan and come have some fun in lebanon

I think you have to go to a place as a tourist before you decide you're going to live there. Why don't you go, travel around, see which area appeals to you, and then decide.
