Before you start calling me a pervert, I heard of people wearing a diaper while skiing. I have a really really small bladder and I have to go to the restroom at least every hour. This is really annoying when I ski. Does anyone else have this problem? Do people really do that?

I went skiing last year in Whistler and i had a weeks worth of lessons. The conditions were amazing except for on a couple of really icy blues.

Me and my partner dropped behind the group a bit and ended up taking to wrong turn off which placed us at the top of an icy blue/black and the rest of the group had gone another way round to get to the bottom.

To cut a long story short - i freaked out, got stuck, had to side step the whole way down and cried my eyes out.

Its not the steepness, but the lack of control that scares me.

We've just booked another fortnight in Whistler and i'm really scared about finding myself in the same situation. We even paid for private lessons to try and have more control over where we ski.

However, on the off change i come against an icy slope, what would be the best way to tackle it without crying all the way down?

I know all you skiiers are just like me: can't wait to get out on the slopes once again. Major resorts have already started snowmaking. When do you think they'll start to open??

This winter I'm taking over the planning of a family ski trip to Vermont. I want to ski Sugarbush and hopefully Mad River but am having trouble deciding which would be cheaper: renting a condo or staying in a hotel (4 people, 5 days, 4 nights). Any other suggestions or specific places to stay around that area?

I am only 17 but I want to work at Stevens Pass, its a ski resort in Washington.
It says you only need to be 16 to work
but the only job you can have is a youth ski instructor.
I have been skiing since I was 9 and I am good enough to be an instructor.
what do you need to do to qualify to become an instructor?

I'm a lightweight rower for my highschool but I really really want to do 'nordic' skiing in college--I'm Scandinavian and it's also in my genes to be slender but I also eat really really well. I know xc skiing is the most challenging sports for endurance but will I gain more weight in muscle if I partake in it? (Even though I'm not gaining a ton of weight for crew?)

ok so after my cousin graduated from high school he got a job at a ski resort in winter park colorado and moved out there and had a blast. I'm thinking about doing that but I want to find a job at a ski resort in pennsylvania or new york area. I've never been skiing or snowboarding but I would like to learn how to and I think it would help if I worked at a ski resort. could you guys please help me. I've been looking online on google but I havent had any luck. what I need is one that would hire someone who is 18, offers housing, how to apply, and lists benefits (if any). could you guys please help me find some websites with this info.

also if you are recommending a resort you have worked at could you please tell me what you did and what you liked and didnt like about the resort.

Ok, my ski team has finally decided that we wanted to get mid-layer ski jackets. We wanted ski jackets that were made out of polypropylene. Also, we wanted to be able to put maybe our names, school, and maybe even a picture of a skier on the jacket. I have been looking online for places that do this, but so far I have had no luck. Also, keep in mind, that we are trying to get the lowest price possible that we can get, cause the school might not be helping at all to pay for these jackets. Thanks to all in advance for any help.

I want to get some awesome skis for myself and my partner for this winter. We both ski very well (we can ski anywhere with confidance), but I know nothing about equpment! He has some powder skis and wants a pair of slalom (not gs) and a pair of freestyle skis. I would like some off piste skis which make it easy and also a pair of slalom skis, which would be great for my short turns, bumps and carving! As for boots, stiff is ok but not like rock, we need to be comfortable too - any recomendations? Please don't only reccomend the most expensive, but if you really believe that is the way to go, then OK! If it helps 10 points garenteed to the best/fullest/most thought out answer!
