I know all you skiiers are just like me: can't wait to get out on the slopes once again. Major resorts have already started snowmaking. When do you think they'll start to open??

Lifts generally open during the first week in december in the medium height resorts - all depends on the altitude. You can find out from the ski club website and go on there as a guest without being a member.

Okemo: Nov 17 (their website)

Snowmaking is indeed going on.

Sno Mtn (old Montage. PA) maybe Dec.1 if it stays cold. They tested guns two nights ago. Rest of the Poconos should be ready to go by Dec.15 unless they have a firm start date later.

Sunday River opened for 1 day on Halloween and then reopened, today, No. 8th for the season. Sugarloaf opens tomorrow for the season. There will be a few others before Thanksgiving, but most will open Thanksgiving weekend.

It already started!!!!!!!
