I have two questions about shopping for a sleeping bag.

1. Could someone recommend a solid, good quality, not too expensive bag? I'm anticipating a few low-impact camping trips this summer and fall (wouldn't need anything for winter), and I'd like to know which brands and models you think are good. I guess I'm looking for something that won't break the bank, but also won't fall apart on me either.

2. I'm exactly six feet tall. Should I go for long or regular size? Any tips?

Thanks!

I want to do an overnight kayak trip. I need a two person tent that can fit in my dry well compartment. The trip will be in the summer. I'm down to these two :
Ultra Dome 2
http://www.llbean.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?page=ultra-dome-tent&categoryId=45601&storeId=1&catalogId=1&langId=-1&parentCategory=500106&cat4=1096&shop_method=pp&feat=500106-tn

Microlight
http://www.llbean.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?page=microlight-tent&categoryId=36548&storeId=1&catalogId=1&langId=-1&parentCategory=500105&cat4=1096&shop_method=pp&feat=500105-tn

It has to be LL bean because I have a gift certificate. Hope you guys can help or if you have either of these tents. THANKS

All I wanted to do was to be a pro skateboarder. Thats all. Its what I want to do. I love everything about it. The freedom, the challenge, the people. Just the love of the sport alone gives me a reason to get out there. So when I tell people like my mom or family, they want to put me down and tell me that I will never make it out there and that its just for some white boy to take my place. Theyve never been able to see things like "Stevie Williams Untitled" or read an inteview about Bucky Lasek. Im in this for myself now, because I have no one to back me up. They dont think that this is realistic, which is understandble, but dont put me down after it. How can I make them realize that this is what I really want to do, and if I cant do that, how can I just shake them off?

Ive been at this skateboard thing for a month now, and I love it and all, but Im barely seeing any progression. Then I see kids that are half my age flippin and dippin over trash cans. How long should it really take to be GOOD at an ollie, let alone master it?

I'm interested in caving, rock climbing, hiking, outdoor running, and mountain biking to name a few. I like earthy activities surrounded by nature, which challenge you physically and/or mentally. If you know of any sports or hobbies I might like, let me know. Thanks.

All the jobs I have found are under average income. I have been in biology for two years and it doesn't interest me as much as the outdoors. I recently watched the premeire of planet earth and loved it. A job like that would be fun. Any suggestions?

Would you sky dive if you were given the chance, and why?

Despite being scared of heights, I think I would, just for the experience so I could say “I did that” and know what it would be like. It would be amazing if it was in a lovely country like New Zealand! And you never know -it might just conquer my fear of heights!!

Being that most average people don't sky dive, I do not expect perfect answers, but I would like any supported statiscal answers and the most elaborate and educated will acheive high ranking. Thanks!

Ok here's the scoop...
I want to get into hiking and camping with my wife. I currently have no gear. What should I buy? I have about $800 to work with. I am planning on camping through 3 seasons, spring, summer, and fall (a little in the winter perhaps). I am going to need a two person tent, his and hers sleeping bags, and his and hers backpacks. I am looking for gear that would take me on 2-4 day hikes. Should go with internal or external backpacks. What's the difference? Is there a good rain resistant tent within my price range? I'm thinking I would want a mummy type sleeping bag. Again, not sure though. Brand names with reasons for purchasing would be much appreciated. Thanks.

One time I saw this chick who had like a plastic case on a string that was designed to hold a cellphone, ID and what not for rafting trips. But I never asked what it was called. Anyone know of anything like this? Or where I can find one?
