Yes but stopping on ice skates is easier for some .

ice vs road
it is easer to rollor blad you can stop better but the thing you need to keep in mind is that all though there kinda the same ice is just that slick and u can move faster sping faster and fall a lot more (toe pick)(rear break) two different kinds of breaks one is for figure skateing and the other is for hockey so it is all about what way u want to go
