i would absolutely love to do it. i don't know if i would be able to as i am disabled so i expect insurance would be a problem. i would do it if i could even if i suffered for days afterwards. i know I'd be scared of actually jumping out of a plane but once out there it would be such a rush

Yes and have done, feels like dieing! well worth it. I can't remember to much of it as I was so scared My body shut down and I felt Like I was watching myself jump. It was a tam-dam jump and It changes you whole life if you have ever nearly died you know what this means. I now have a new outlook on everything. I never get upset about the little things anymore.
I don't think I would do it again not because I'm too scared but because I don't need to.
I was so scared I made up my mind not to do it twice but I let go and that's the whole thing about it. Its not the falling that's the buzz it's looking down at the ground and crying(yes I cried) but doing it anyway. If you can do that you will have the guts to do anything. I'm starting my own business at the end of this year, Gave up my job and moved half way across the country! I would have stayed in by admin job if I hadn't have done it.

Just go ahead and do it - you will never regret the experience. If you can find a parachuting club that will allow you to make your first jump 'solo' (i.e., using a static line to open the main 'chute rather than a ripcord), then it is even more thrilling, since you will not be attached to an instructor - which is what happens in the increasingly common 'tandem jump' arrangement. And don't worry about your fear of heights - I can't even climb a ladder to clear a bungalow's guttering, but it never bothered me when making parachute jumps since your reference is the aircraft not the ground. Incidentally, why go to New Zealand? Making your first jump over Devon or Somerset would be just as amazing - rolling green countryside and views of the north and south coasts as you float gently to earth. Good luck anyway, if you do go ahead!

Absolutely. Have done it three times now for charity and each time the buzz/adrenaline rush has been amazing. If you get the chance - do it.

Join the Marines and get paid to jump over and over again. Plus you get to play with all those toys too.
