The gun was handed down to my father from his father to me. It's atleast from 1950-1960. It is in great condition all the serial numbers match. I am not a typical gun owner and can't find the price value-- the sentimental value is extreme and the gun is not going to be sold however it would be nice to have the information on approximate value to pass on with my children.

I dont want to spend alot more than around 550-600. I preferably want an autoloader but pumps will work too. I was looking at the browning BPS hunter and the stoeger model 2000 but if you have any other good suggestions let me know.

hey yall, i read in dave lauck's book that because hollow point tips are soft enough to expand, they will get deformed when you load/unload the bullets over time. any thoughts on this?

How many of you would rather stay at camp and cook dinner for the other hunters instead of hunting? I like to go in a couple of hours early and help with dinner so the other hunters can eat and relax.

You've all seen the movies and TV shows that show swimmers dodging and out swimming bullets, I know that water slows a bullets speed greatly but at what depth would I be safe from a 9mm round?

I don't have one neither does my grandfather, but he's been succesfull for years now. So how come every were I read or hear about a hunt it involves a rangefinder? Like nobody knows what to do without them. How would getting one make me a more savvy hunter during deer season(advantages)?

I want to get a new rifle for huniting in Wyoming this fall. Mule Deer and Antelope are the target.. I use a Rem. 30-06 semi-auto, but I would like to buy a decent bolt action rifle to use for this trip?

What should I get? If you are wondering, Money is an object... So, what is a decent rifle/size to take? I have looked at a .743, but I am just not knowlegeable to make this call.

What do you think? I prefer to get a rifle/scope package...

Any suggestions? Price ranges
