.22 Centerfire cartridges include, but are not limited to: .220 Swift, .222 Remington, .222 Remington Magnum, .223 Remington (5.56 NATO), .22-250 Remington, .22 Remington Jet.

Some are, some aren't.
.22 short, .22 long, .22 long rifle and .22 magnum are all rimfire.
The .22 long rifle is the most common rimfire and the one you are probably thinking of.
There are a number of center fire cartridges that utilize a .22 caliber bullet, the .223 which is used by the military in the M-16 is an example that comes to mind first that is not a rimfire.

The correct answer is YES & NO.
There are .22 calibers in center fire & there are Rimfires that are Not .22's like the .17hmr. The most common rimfire is the .22LR however.

yes most of them are. when you get up into the .22 magums and some of the weirder stuff they may be center fire but long and short .22's are all rimfire

I toss my misfires contained in the pond... or try em back. now and back the rimfire ammo will pass off after the 2nd strike (hassle-free sufficient in a revolver). have been the Hell did you get the belief they might desire to pass to the Police? Do you reside in England or something?
