Hunting - September 2006

i have been hunting for a few years and i'm not very good. the deer always are out of range or heard blowing but not visible.does anybody have any tips on how to bring them in closer. does the scent cover work, should i call the deer in this early in the season. there is this product i saw in the store called the buck bomb. it is like a flea bomb. push the top and a fog starts coming out. any tips would be great.

Who likes to wake up at 3am and smell bacon frying and coffee brewing,it is the first day of season and your with your best buddies and it is almost time to go out with hopes of getting a big buck.Most anti-hunters have never felt this and they never will it is not about the killing for me ,it is about the fellowship with my good friends and being in a place that is not crowded with people.What do you think of this?

Last night I was talking to a friend and he has a friend who owns a hunting lodge and a fenced in area with very large deer in it . One of these deer will score 300B&C and if you bring a check for 30K you can kill this deer.This really does not bother me,people can spend their money however they want,but it does not seem much like hunting to me .Maybe I can go to Bass Pro Shops and catch a world record bass out of their fish tank. What do you think about this?

it was some years ago and entitled something like "the day the duck hunters died." it had to do with a freak storm that traveled across the midwest and up the eastern seaboard killing many duck hunters along the way. i know this is tough, just hoping somebody remembers.
