USC is number one in the country, but from watching them play, they have nowhere near the talent that LSU has. Don't get me wrong, I"m an LSU fan, but seriously! LSU has a way better team than anyone in the NCAA. Glenn Dorsey is a mammoth on Defense, and NO ONE can stop them on offense. SO WHY IS USC STILL NUMBER 1?

For example, practicing your throwing too much (not physically a power throw, just one for accuracy) in football, or practicing catching? How much can you practice these skills before you are "overloading" your brain- actually the question should be, can you even do that? I mean overload your brain with technical skills? I know there's such a thing as physical overtraining, but I'm not sure about technical overtraining- I've heard Bruce Lee used to practice different techniques everywhere he would go, not sure if that would apply here.

I have been cheerleading in college since may of this year. I have enjoyed some parts but other parts are not so great. So far this year we have had 5 people get hurt. I am so afraid that I am going to be next. Also since class has started I am already starting to fail one of my favorite classes because I dont have time to study. And we haven't even started competition practice. Should I just wait it out until April or should I get out now before I die or fail all my classes?

I like to play the game! I like to push myself mentally to a physical discomfort to see how far I can go. I was lucky that I picked a sport that allows one to continue into their 40s or 50s at a competitive level. As an athlete and coach, I’m always pushing myself and others to do more — to continue even when the urge to stop is overwhelming. What gives you the inspiration to keep going?
