I dont remember scoliosis causing any kindof weakness in the bones so it shouldnt be a problem early on. But later it will be. Especially with some of the exercises that they want you to do.
I would tell your parents that you understand that later on it will stop you from doing anything like football so you would like to play it while you still can. Paint the picture that eventually you wont be able to do anything fun and you have a limited time to enjoy some things.
By the way, I think it will affect many other sports more. Consider baseball, basketball, rowing, gymnastics, track, wrestling, etc. Hmmm well actually, it might turn into an advantage in wrestling.

Well, I play football, and I dont think that you should. The major problem is that Football is a contact sport. A hitting sport. Basket ball and Baseball are much different, because in Football, the only point in the game is hitting the other team as hard as you can. Having a condition such as Scoliosis could cause a problem, and your parents have a good reason to worry. I dont reccomend that you play, because you could serioulsy hurt yourself and be disabled for the rest of your life.

There's no reason for you to be prohibited from playing full contact football just because you have scoliosis..
However, there's a little catch lol...
People with scoliosis tend to have their joint positional sense gone haywire. It is often noted in the way they walk. This means you'll be more prone to injuries than others..injuries like sprained ankle or knee ligament tear...
Now, this is just likelihood...not necessarily you'll have it...just that you have higher chance...
Anyway, good luck..

Well My Brother's mom is hella strict so i know the type of parent you're talking about, but all you can do is make her watch how you play flag football and hope that she lets you play. And they have flag football teams in school now? BTW calling yourself the Mexican Randy moss is overstepping it a little bit.
