Lets see...my top three favorite sports...
1. Soccer: Because I am best at it, and I got through and graduated from college at San Diego State University playing soccer. I also played for the US Army all army soccer team for a couple of years.
2. Baseball: I love the sport cause it takes no fear and a lot of balls and concentration to play.
3. Tennis: ALthough I am no good at it, it takes time for me to learn so therefore I like it.

My favorite sport to watch is Football. And you asked why.
Because its a game of strategy. The ultimate objective is to score against your opponent all the while your opponents objective is to keep you from even gaining a yard against them. It is played out using various plays to trip the other guy into moving in the wrong direction or prematurely. The offense is given 4 chances to move the ball 10 yards and the defense is there to make the offense choke and prevent them from gaining not even a yard. Preferably, the defense hopes to cause the offense to lose yardage. So what starts out as a 10 yard drive could end up in a 4th down and punt for zero gain and or more yardage loss.
What is football? Its a Real Estate game.

To watch and hopefully to try - synchronised Ice Dance. That is so complex- all kinds of things are involved - precision, skill, choreography, timing .... in 10 years' time, this sport will be a major attraction.
I love football (soccer) and swimming, and athletics and tennis.
Favourite sport to watch, apart from synchronised Ice Dance and feather-weight boxing, is Sasuke (Ninja Warrior), except that isn't really a sport, is it? More of a game ... but you need to be very athletic to even try it!
