I was thinking of joining a sport or something in my school. However, I'm already in 8th grade and I have never joined a sport before or know any rules, does the school team go over this or do they start from where they picked off last year? Also, what's a good sport to try-out for?

After the song asks that question, there's a rhythm which I can only hum (sorry you can't hear it--or maybe you're glad you can't :). Then it says "ya'll ready for this", and does the same rhythm again. If you've ever been to a professional basketball game or hockey game (especially in Charlotte, NC), you've heard it--any clues?

thier minimum wage pay is like 50 times the average minimum wage pay. so even if they just sit on the bench for one year and never play, and get cut thereafter, they are still so much more fortunate than millions and millions of other americans. No professional athlete should ever whine and complain about anything.

As of right now i am being recruited for track for college for hurdles. I am being recruited by many schools some Division 1 schools and alot of division 3 schools. The two main schools i have broken it down to are UIC the University of Chicago-Illionois (Which is division 1 and a slight lesser in the field i am loookng to explore) and a division 3 school University of Wiscounsin-white water (the nations best D-3 school in track with a better program for my major). The only thing is i would have to pay less money with UIC cause they are division 3. what should i do?

This is a free, national competition for sports fans to compete daily in a pick'em game, earning points by correctly predicting sports outcomes. PicksPal then displays the picks of the best of the best in its own "Genius Picks" service. In a way, like an "American Idol" for sports fans.

First of all does it increase ur muscel size? because i dont want him to look like a worlds strongest man. Secondly, is it ok for a 16 almost 17 year old kid to take something this strong? ive read about it and stuff but nothing seems to say ne thing about that or if it increases mass as well as strength.

thanks alot

Does sprinting fast rely on just practice, or do you have to be born with potential/gift to run fast?

for example: A person that doesn't stay in shape and can barely jog a mile can sprint about as fast as a person who is in fit and can jog 3 miles.

Could you be an good sprinter but just be really bad at long distance? ( i can barely jog a mile) Or does it just take practice to do long distance?

If to be a fast sprinter, all you need is practice. Doesn't that mean anyone could be the fastest sprinter if they practiced? Or do you have to be born with some sorta talent?

140 mph serves. Hours on court in 100 F heat for days straight. Skills that you need to start developing with a coach at age 5. Speed, endurance, skill enough to return a 140+ mph projectile within a few inches of the lines.......not even knowing which side of your body you will have to take your swing from when it comes in.

I've never seen a fat slob tennis player like I have with baseball ( David Ortiz), or like in American football (take your pick of any lineman)

And they are on call for every play!. No coaching, no down time. No jogging around when not involved in the play.

No other sport demands as much endurance, athleticism, reflexes, movement, and skill.

The average daily tennis tournament practice and match schedule would send most pro athletes to the hospital. Let alone being good enough to keep it up daily for two weeks and win a major title.

And facing the top competition in the "World". And not just Americans

5 hour matches sometimes. Who else could handle that?
