This is actually a recognised past time. Known comonly as cow chip throwing. The dung needs to be completely sun dried and quite quickly to prevent the dung beetle breaking it down. I t helps. Fully dry for a lightweight chip and better aerodynamics. Have fun my friend

I'd say 24 to 48 hours, you obviously need a decent crust to be able to launch your turdy missile but for it to still have a squidgey centre so that it explodes upon impacting on your mate's head.

depends on the weather 10 days in summer in winter you might have to dry them in a low oven gas mark 2 ;-)

A fresh one is good. Too dry & they would crumble & fall after a few feet.
