Hope you can help with this Im in a world of confusion, I need to buy a skateboard and was wondering if you could help with the following.

1. I have seen a few nice decks from makers like Landscape, Hook-Ups and Blind are these any good?

2. What trucks should I get I have seen Grind King and Royals again any good?

3. Ive seen a few boards and on other sites the wheels to match is this a normal thing to do.

4. In terms of wheels what are good makes I have seen an awful lot of spitfire wheels are these any any good?

5. The wheels come in different sizes like 50, 52 and 54mm what is the difference?

FYI - The board will mainly be used to street skate with some skateboarding on skateparks.

Many Thanks

My wife is an avid runner and I'd like to start getting involved. I'm in fairly good shape, I don't smoke or drink and am fairly active but the only time I run is when someone is chasing me. What's the best way to get motivated to start running and the best way to start off without killing myself? I don't really want to arrest in the first 5 minutes and make a fool of myself. Any tips on being a beginning runner would be appreciated.

PS, why isn't running a separate category or did I just miss it?

I used to own an Airwalk which I now belive was made to just go cuising on. I now met some kids in my area that will help me develop my skating tricks..I noticed I am not getting the pop their boards get. So now I wan't to get a Pro deck to ride on and get good tricks off of. I am considering a brand I know the skater of..and got The Flip boards..I like their design...Please recommend a board that might help me in my condition. Tell me if what I am considering is good enough.

Flip - Appleyard "Winged Attack" Deck (7.5" x 31.5")
Havoc Trucks
Abec 3 bearings
Blank Black wheels
Black Griptape
Shorty's 1" hardware

For about $56 with Shipping and everything included. Tell me if some of the parts should be replaced with other brands/sizes/speeds. Thanks for all the help.

What is the English name for the act of, while in climbing gear, attaching one-self to a rope with a device that will slide along it in order to get across from one platform to another with little incline?
In French it's called a Tyrolienne.
A picture of said practise can be found here:

This happens ALL THE TIME in our local running club. yesterday, I had to cross the double yellow line on the road to go around them to finish the race myself. I have a photo of the people and me coming up behind them that a race photographer took. Is this just arrogant behavior that needs to be addressed or should I get over it and shut up like I have been doing?
