How come there's barely any east vs. west games this year? The only one I know of is Detroit @ Ottawa later this month along with the Penguins facing most of the Eastern conference but no Alberta vs. Ontario games at all and Vancouver isn't going any further than Detroit either. At least the Flames had an eastern conf. road trip early last year why are they cheaping out this year?

i got in a devils rangers fight last night and some one told me that Henrik Lundqvist wasn't a solid starting goalie and he's a good back up goalie and thats all he will ever be...i gave him statistics and he then went on to say i really dont know anything about goalies or hockey and that henrik is one of the worst in the league

Does anyone remember when Vincent Lecavlier almost became a leaf?

He wasn't getting along with the coach so they worked out a deal:

but at the last second the "Upper Managment" cancelled the deal.

I was watching the OT of the Habs and Preds.The Preds took two penalties in the last 20 seconds or so.Well the Habs never went on the PP,because time ran out.So to prevent teams from being cheaters in OT I have a rule I want to see.
If you are called for the penalty and the other team doesnt get the PP,your team loses a shooter in the shootout.
If a team commits two penalties like in tonights game,you would lose two shooters.It would prevent blatant penalties inside 20-30 seconds.What do you think?

Is it just me, or does this guy seem to look for reasons to point out Buffalo's flaws & put them down? I also get irritated when he continues to run his mouth after play has started. Do you guys as well? Jim rarely did that. I miss him :-(

Mine are, in order:

1. Thomas Vanek (6/10)

2. Ryan Miller (I know, he doesn't score LOL, but neither does Peters!)

3. Used to be Briere, now its a tie:

Derek Roy (8/9)

Ales Kotalik (5/7)

I think it is as well, maybe a little less than most. Remember that in the Original 6 days we did not have all the Euros but still it is diluted talent without question.
Many believe that the league should cut down the number of teams- most think that 4-8 teams should be nixed and this would put the talent level back where it should be.

How about this instead? Cut roster sizes. Teams dress 16 players instead of 18. That is 2 less players on every team (the worst players) so you get rid of the worst 60 players in the league, therefore making it a bit more talented. I am sure the NHLPA would be dead set against this but................

Do you think this idea has a leg to stand on?????
