First and foremost, hockey doesn't put a team logo on guys who end up in the hall of fame. His entry will state he played for all three teams, winning cups with two of them. Only baseball does that.
And secondly, he will be going for those who think otherwise.

I think he should go in with a jersey that is made out of jerseys from the three teams he played with. Montreal on top, Chicago on one side, Detroit on the other.
Seriously, I think he should go in with a Team USA jersey, since he's been on the Olympic team 4 times, being captain the last 3 times.
Now, being really serious, if he had to choose one, I think he'd go in as a Red Wing, since he did move his family and restaurant up to the Detroit area.

The NHL does not advocate the wearing of Jerseys in the Hall of Fame.
Whether Chelios gets in or not will be another story. he has been very critical of John Ziegler and Gary Bettman, as well as equally critical of Eagleson, Goodenow, and Saskin (to the point of a lawsuit).
He also wore out his welcome in both Montreal and Chicago to the point where he asked to be traded in both situations.
On the ice he was a Hall of Famer. Off the ice, he was anything but.

Doesn't matter. It's not like baseball. They don't go in "wearing" a certain jersey. It'd be the Canadiens with an "e" that'd be the best choice given he went to two Finals with them and won his first Norris there.

That is a very very good question.
He's played at least 400 games with all of the teams. Chicago is his hometown. I'm going to say Chicago because thats where he was in his prime. But I'd love to see him in a Detroit jersey in the HOF.

most likely the red wings. the red wings need him rite now. he has is own sports bar in detroit. Chellios' Chilli Bar. it is a good place to eat which is another reason why he is probably going to stay in detroit. detroit will sign him and sign him agian until he retires. he is a good defenseman. the red wings are lucky that they have him.

That will be up to him. Anyone know what his thoughts are on the subject? I would hope Detroit, where he's played in his 40's, won a cup, and probably had more fun than anywhere else.
