The graduation is in a couple of weeks and I don't have a clue what to get him. I want it to be nice...but not outrageously expensive. I don't mind spending some money, but don't want to go into debt either.

I looked them up and they are like $80 for a dozen. I saw them at GolfSmith and they had them for $17.99 a dozen for logo overruns. They are supposed to be like the NXT so I bought some because they are $10 cheaper than the NXT tour.

Anybody tried them?

Yesterday this problem arose. I drove off a par five tee. To the left is a large bank that slopes down to the fairway. At the bottom of the large bank there is an open, concrete lined gutter to carry away rainwater. My ball rolled down the bank and into the foot-deep gutter, and then rolled about 50 more yards back downhill towards the tee box. What happens? There are not red stakes, and no OB. Where do I place my ball and is there a penalty stroke?

Say i go a great deal on last year's ProV1 golf balls. Should i buy a bunch say 5 dozen or so? I don't lose a bunch of balls when I play (mostly in water or missing a green across a canyon, so they will hold me over a couple of years if I do buy a dozen. Will a year old ball still be good 3 years from now?

I have today paid a shocking price for a cart bag!! as a present for someone, I have also in the past, paid hundreds for one single golf club!
This is what the person in question really wanted, and i was glad to help out with their wishes.
what im asking is, is the high cost of golf gear really that important, and is it justified? nice answers only pls. I just dont get the whole thing about golf, especially in bad weather.

I get killed at this course that is up and down throughout. The front is all going downhill and of course the back is going uphill!

From 7 iron to 3 wood, I'm faced with challenging shots and I have issues topping the ball in both cases!

1. If the ball lands on mud and is not marked as a hazard by the golf course can you move it a club length behind out of the mud? The course has their own rule that says yes but me and my co-worker play at 6am and most of the time the grass is wet so there is a lot of mud spots and he like to take advantage of the mud rule and move his ball around. Also what rule applies if the mud spot is 5 yards in front of his ball? He says he can move it to the side because its in his line. Is that true?

I have a 3 wood which I hit 235, then jump to a 3 Iron which I hit (sometimes) 200, if I get a 5 wood or 7 wood, is that better for distance and control, should I replace my 3 Iron??

im a sophomore in high school and was just wondering what i would need to shoot by my junior year to get some looks from some pretty good division I schools. the season just ended and i averaged about a 40 9 hole average and about 78 to the low 80s on a par 72 per 18 holes. i missed the cut by 1 to advance to sectionals and placed 11th in conference. i would really appreciate a year by year guide as to what i need to shoot. thnx in advance.

Are golf clubs cheaper in China? I mean, you would save on importing and exporting the products from China to US.
