The commercial I mean usually played during World Cup games on Mexican channels. It was about one of the mexican team's players, (after Mexico lost) and everyone kept giving him dirty looks and stuff. It ended with him crashing his truck into the garage, and then the narrator saying something about All State still being there (or maybe State Farm? one of those insurance companies).

I have been reading a lot of comments posted by people who know pitifully less about the history of the game...they say Italy didnt deserve the title as they didnt beat Brazil or Argentina..well then Brazil didnt deserve it in 1994 or 2002..neither France in 1998

Lets see...teams Brazil beat in 2002 - China, Costa Rica, Turkey, Belgium, England, Germany..if we consider England as a big team..which they are not ..then that makes 2 strong teams..3 of the others didnt even make it to 2006.

France in 1998 - South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Denmark,Paraguay ,Italy, Croatia , Brazil again 2 big teams.
Brazil in 1994- Russia,Camaroon ,Sweden,USA, Holland, Italy again 2 big teams.
West Germany in 1990- UAE, Colombia,Yogoslavia,Holland, Czechoslovakia, England, Argentina..3 big teams...

Italy too has beaten 3 big teams Czech Republic..Germany, France so stop talking nonsense about being lucky...they equalled France's record of conceding least goals..and also were the 2nd highest scorer...

i mean it was his last time he was ever going to be near it since we all knew that italy was going to win it. I dont understand seriously. That picture will forever stay in my memory. Even if Zidane didn't get ejected France still would have lost in penalty kicks. If he was still in the lineup, Zidane would have been the 4th or 5th player to attempt a kick. France would not have a player play for 120 minutes and then have him kick first or second. France would get Zidane as much rest as possible.The 2nd kicker for France still would have hit the crossbar with Zidane in the lineup or not.

Some people think that Zidane was justified in attacking the italian player for returning an insult to him. I noticed that people are bashing Italians alot here and on the web. By this logic, it would be ok for an Italian to physically harm you for all the italo-bashing going on.
