In the match between Portugal and Iran, there was a penalty awarded for Iran (it was missed by them). But I feel that hand ball is a “total by mistake” by the Portugal Defender. Because he was off balance and on the way falling down, so he was tiring to balance him self by keeping a hand on the ground. At that time ball was at that place. But defender doesn’t know that. So hand ball was given. Is this correct? On what basis hand ball is decided?

And I was another penalty was given for Portugal in same match. It’s very correct. Because it was purposely handballed by Iran defender.

Is it true that a lot of footballers get brain damage from the concussive effect of heading the ball?

...and is that why they roll around on the ground like they are mortally wounded when they only have a bruise? If you did that in rugby or hockey you would be laughed at and then trampled on.

Its an interesting game otherwise, I just wish more of those dandies would grow a backbone and take a hit for a change.

(kudos to that American guy who took the Italian flying elbow, there's always exceptions)

How do I kick a soccer ball with no spin, so it looks like a knuckle ball.?

Ive been playing soccer for almost 14 years now, and i still can't kick a ball consistently without spin. I tried angling my foot outward, keeping it low so my toe rubs across the grass, keeping my knee bent over the ball, following thru, everything...but only about 50% of the time im kicking the ball without spin. I try to reinact the exact same motions of when i kicked the ball without spin, but i can't seem to figure out what is the small factor that keeps a ball from spinning. Thanks for your help.
