Football - June 2006

1. All of a sudden the best Argentine goalkeeper got "out of order".
2. Riquelme was substitued!
3. Crespo was substituted by Cruz, not by Messi or Saviola!!!
4. During the entire match Maradona was not presentin the stadium. ( or was he?!)

All those happened when Argentina needed right decision from Jose Peckerman. I find the total destruction was "planned". What you people think? I know Germany is not a weak team!

what happened to him?? He had to practically crawl off the field at one point of time.
any clue whether it's serious enough to stop him playing italy in the semis??

Iam Indian but my heart goes to 2 best team since my college days . Argentian and Germany. Why these 2 teams had to meet so soon ? The match was nail biting. Seemed as if 2lions are fighting making path easy for Brazil to win the cup.

im reaaaally happy that germany won that quarterfinal...but i was just wondering why pekerman didn't bring on messi in the second half (instead of cruz i mean)...and why did they stop attacking and remove riquelme and crespo...
any opinions....(i cant see the reasoning behind those switches so...)

Six out of their top 10 have already been knocked out; some didn't even make it out of the group round. So, what I'm getting from it is that statistics really don't mean a thing...
