Iam Indian but my heart goes to 2 best team since my college days . Argentian and Germany. Why these 2 teams had to meet so soon ? The match was nail biting. Seemed as if 2lions are fighting making path easy for Brazil to win the cup.

It's because of the draw that happened way before the start of the tournament. Each team of a group once passed through the "group stage" already has a predetermined path of from which group it will face, from what round of 16 phase it will meet up until the semis. That's the sad truth in the World Cup. The possibility of very strong teams to meet in the earlier stages is ever present.

because they don't want Germany to face Brazil before the final so they arranged the Schedule for the world cup so that they won't face each other
and because of that they met Argentina instead of Brazil
