Actually, I (as an American) have developed a new love for football. I used to be completely disinterested, but now I can't get enough! I have a friend from Lebanon and a friend from England and I love talking to them about the World Cup.
One of the things I noticed about Team USA is that they are not as refined at playing football as the other nations. For this reason, I watched them only to see how far they would go. I knew that they would lose to Ghana, that much was obvious. But I suppose the team to watch now is Brazil? Everyone seems to be talking about Brazil and Ecuador. But I don't know, I've only watched about four games so far. I may have nothing to add, but I will certainly be reading the questions and comments from this section.
FIFA World Cup has at least one new American fan! Go Brazil! (I think.) Or maybe, Go Ecuador!!

I'm an American and I have always supported Italy for the World Cup, Sorry but USA has and will always have a negative attitude towards soccer, that could be the reason why they lost and will always lose in every world cup.
However, even though Italy did make it to the next round an as much as i want them to win the world cup; it looks like Germany, Argentina, Portugal and Brazil are the four most likely teams to go all the way.

I hope USA fans do stick around. This is the first worldcup which I have noticed a greater interest in soccer in USA. Soccer fans should pick the next favorite.

I myself am sad that the USA is out of the World Cup. Watching World Cup Soccer is a good remedy for insomnia.

All US fans should stay and enjoy the other games. This is the world cup tournament. Just cheer on the other teams.

Uh...I'm still here and there have been a lot of American fans in here. I'm sad the US lost, I still hate the officiating (not just in US games...in all of them) and I'll still be watching the World Cup...admittedly with a little less enthusiasm, but watching nonetheless.
