They beat a GT team that went 7-5 last year and played in a major conference. While it seems to me that all the other teams in the top 5 played teams with losing records last year and teams from crappy conferences. So why the hate they won right? Will GT have to win the ACC for ND to get any respect for winning this game. When ND beats PSU this weekend will they get respect or will you haters just say PSU is overrated too? Yeah I know there is a media bias for ND but the same is true for a lot schools, so get over that. Can anyone name one team from week one that is top 5 that played a team with a winning record from last year that beat two quality teams from a major conference on the road beyond ND. Thought not.

They whupped Auburn in Barry Alvarez's last bowl game ever last season. They constantly are either winning the Big 10 or coming damn close. I believe Playboy was the only one that put them in the top 10 (#8) for the preseason polls. They said that even though the Badgers have a new head coach they might have the best defense in the Big 10. Don't be surprised if Wisconsin is right in the hunt for the Big 10 title once again this year and on the way to whupping yet another team like Auburn in a bowl game. Michigan and Ohio State might get all the credit but Wisconsin has about the same amount of success, if not more, over the past 12 years.

I'm playing in a survivor pool for the first time this year and I don't want to look like an idiot. I love watching football and am pretty good with players, teams, coaches, etc. But, actually picking a winner this early in the season is beyond me. Anybody that could offer me help with how to read stats and matchups would be a huge help! I've never been much of a gambler, so I have no idea what the +'s and -'s and points mean. And, I didn't get to watch a lot of pre-season, so I'm not familiar with all the teams yet. I'd really just like to make it to week 2 or 3! :-)

Last night the Marlins had a rookie pitcher who tossed a no-no... truely one of the greatest feats in all of sports. My question is... Is there anything in football that is the equivalent of a no-hitter?

A Lions assistant coach was recently arrested for two separate incidents of DUI, in one of them he was also charged with obscene conduct because he was nude.

But why is that obscene? If I'm driving my car nude, you can't see my privates. You can only see from the chest up. Is it against the law to drive topless?

Talking about the coach in California who slam tackled a kid after that kid hit his son about 15 seconds after the play was done. On Good Morning America the kid was real smug and said he did'nt feel he was in the wrong at all.

I heard that on TV last night but it's hard to believe. I think they have played games at home before when they were rated number 1, particularly during the 1960s.
