They beat a GT team that went 7-5 last year and played in a major conference. While it seems to me that all the other teams in the top 5 played teams with losing records last year and teams from crappy conferences. So why the hate they won right? Will GT have to win the ACC for ND to get any respect for winning this game. When ND beats PSU this weekend will they get respect or will you haters just say PSU is overrated too? Yeah I know there is a media bias for ND but the same is true for a lot schools, so get over that. Can anyone name one team from week one that is top 5 that played a team with a winning record from last year that beat two quality teams from a major conference on the road beyond ND. Thought not.

Your not going to get a real answer to the question because everyone likes to sit in happy land and think that Texas is great because they blew out N. Texas who went 2-9 last year and has only scored 7 points against Texas ever. OSU is worth the hype becasue they beat NIU who plays in the MAC what a powerhouse conference. People want to live in fantasy land and count those as measuring stick games, and then act like ND played a third rate team or a Div IAA team and barely beat them. It was a team from the ACC, a team that beat Miami and Auburn on the road last year, yet people look at them as if they are from the sun belt and went 2-9 last year. We will see when ND beats up on PSU this saturday. ND had 11 penalities for 80 yds and GT had 5 for 28 so how did the refs give the game to ND. Yeah I think OSU doesnt deserve to be ranked #1 I just dont think they beat on NIU bad enough they should have put up over 50 on a team from the MAC.

Here's why-because Notre Dame didn't beat a single top 25 team last year, and GT, even though they were 7-5 won a few tough games last year, aren't ranked that high either. PSU is overrated-lost too many starters, maybe ND can beat them more convincingly than 14-10. You can mouth other top-5 teams all you want, but those teams have already proved something. Didn't #1 ranked Ohio State totally trash ND in the Fiesta Bowl last year? Yeah, that's what I thought. Also, Texas beat Ohio State and USC, and USC beat Notre Dame, at South Bend. So why should Notre Dame be ranked so high? They've proven that all they can do is beat unranked teams. For that matter, lowly Stanford, the doormat of the Pac-10 gave ND a scare. When Notre Dame beats a quality opponent, they'll get some respect. Until then, me, and millions like me are going to say the same thing, why do they deserve a top-5 ranking?

I'm a Notre Dame fan. I wasn't happy to see them only score 14 against Tech but you don't throw back any win on the road against just about any team from a major conference. I saw the game on TV and the Georgia Tech crowd appeared to be fairly intense. ND got away with missing two clearly makeable field goals and came back from 10 points down. ND is and always has been either loved or hated by anyone interested in College Football, not unlike the way the New York Yankees and perhaps the Dallas Cowboys tend to be either loved or hated.

I don't think the hate is for ND in this case as much as it is sour grapes for the officiating in that game. Arguably, the zebras handed them the game, or at least played too much of a role.

Some people feel that they get calls their way "because they're Notre Dame." So yes, the media bias plays a part in that too.

Most of it is sour grapes, and so long as they roll up on Penn State, at least some of the haters will go away.

They didn't look great last weekend, but CW will have them firing on all cylinders...

They get more PR than God & most of the time it's undeserved. Every time the tube is on, Notre "FREAKIN" Dame is on. They were very lucky to beat GT. Too bad they didn't get a chance to play last year's PSU team instead of this years with 3/4's of the team gone. Penn State will still give them a helluva game.

It's not who they played but how they played. Brady Quinn spent most of the night on his back or running for his life. Their running game was almost non existent and their defense was not very impressive. Against a team like Georgia Tech they should have all their starters out by halftime. If they don't make improvements this week they lose to Penn St. Then even you would have to admit they are over rated.

Hook'em !!!!!!!!!

ND could not get past the RCW and HTP vote And at NCAA the VIP gave a NCRW about ND and its WSA report. ACC has no choice but give PSU bla bla bla bla

I have no clue as ND GT PSU? North Dakota? Greater Texas? Puget sound University?
Go ahead an write their names once so we know what or who you are talking about

Short and sweet: Domer haters fall into 3 catagories
1) People who love to hate you
2) People who hate the hype that always surrounds ND.....You play SC tough and half the country wants to put you is the bcs championship....Did you know Quinn already won the heismen.
3) Peer jelously from people who think the nbc contract and the revenue/exposure it produces is unfair.

Because ND is a overrated team, and because of that no other college team gets the respect. ND is a beloved team, and i feel they didn't deserve to be ranked #2 when the season started.

After the beating they suffered at the hands of the Ohio State defense, you'd think they'd be ready for Georgia Tech, but they weren't...Brady Quinn looked horrible out there!
