Fortunately for the Steelers, they have a sweet defense and he won't have to have a super performance for them to win. He should do ok. He has been a starter, so he's not a rookie with no NFL experience. He just isn't Big Ben.

Batch won two games for the Steelers last season. He'll be fine. He'll probably throw for 2 TDs and 2 INTs. He's not immobile & has a very good O-line in front of him, so he shouldn't get sacked much (even though Jason Taylor will be rushing him: they'll run the ball right at him to tire him out.)

Batch is a solid reliever...he did ok in mop up duties, and had a nice week 10 start to lead the team over Cleveland 34-21. he still has some legs left in him, and his 81.5 rating with a 60% + completion average shows that he is a solid veteran that knows where to throw the ball.
That being said, I hope Big Ben comes back soon!

I hope you are right. I think if the Dolphins can stop the Steelers ground game tonight, the Steelers are in big trouble. Batch is not close to Big Ben in ability level and is fortunate to have a job at all in the NFL. I'm afraid if the has to start another game or two after tonight, he may not have a job in the NFL much longer. Come back soon, Ben.

Good thing about the Steelers... they are not a one-man team. Quarterbacks don't win the game. The team wins the game. We've won with Charlie before, we'll do it again.

Miami is going to eat him alive. Miami's defense isn't looked at too much as being very good but I'm going to say they're a top 10 defense this season for sure, and possibly top 5 if they stay healthy and all that nonsense, but we'll see...Carolina, Chicago, Tampa, Pittsburgh, and Dallas might have something to say about that.
Miami's going to win...and it probably wont be a close game...we shall see...turnovers can really change a game..Pitts will need a lot.

Not as well as Roethlisberger....mind you he has a good supporting staff. I say give the ball to Willie Parker and the team will do fine.

Charlie Batch was a loser in Detroit and he will never become a starting, winning quarterback.
