Talking about the coach in California who slam tackled a kid after that kid hit his son about 15 seconds after the play was done. On Good Morning America the kid was real smug and said he did'nt feel he was in the wrong at all.

Let the kids settle it on the field. When an adult invades that realm, he aint' nuthin but a P.A.M.F.

Two wrongs don't make a right. The coach that hit the kid should have definitely shown some restraint and he'll get his due punishment. Some fine example for the kids there.
The coach of the kid that did the late hit hopefully meted out the correct punishment for the infraction, such as a benching.
What a stupid mess, it's just a game, it's supposed to be fun.

Well I don't think that an adult should of done it. There is other way to get someone like what that kid did. But that father was more of a smug then that kid was. No adult should hit a kid like he did. They should throw the book at that guy now.
And the way I know that there is other way is because I play football myself (5'6" 110lbs) and when someone did that to me, I blew out his knee cap. Parent shouldn't get involve like what this person did

I can't say that I wouldn't have reacted the same way since i've never been in that situation, but I will say that the parent was just as wrong as the player. If he really had a problem with it he should have talked to the coach of the opposing team or league officials to handle the matter appropriately. It should have just stayed on the field. Both are idiots for acting the way they did. Note: if anyone outside of a game were to ever hit my son or touch him inappropriately, i've got one thing to say... It's your a55 Mr. Postman............

Maybe so, but an adult should leave it at KNOWING this and be the mature exampe and not actually act out his agression in front of a bunch of KIDS!

Yeah, he probably did deserve it but you just can't go around screwing with other peoples kids. That is not the way to go about doing it.

If they were two adults, I would have sold pop-corn and watched like it was a drunk fight... but kids are off limits, even as*shole kids!

I missed seeing the kid, but he sounds like a punk. The dad had no right to hit a kid though. I do feel kind of bad for the guy though, because he was volunteering to help his kid. Some of these parents just go whacko when it comes to their kids. It's a shame really.

Adults should not act like that we are the ones to set the example for the kids, even though some kids are little s*its anyways that does not give him the right to do what he did he should of let the ref handle it

Yeah he deserved it, but not by the adult. the correct way to handle it was to take the kid who was the victim of the cheap shot to the side and tell him "on the next play, come off your assigment and go flatten that guy regardless of penalty" Football=eye for an eye

I don`t think the coach should`ve hit him. The next play just have your biggest nastiest player on your team go and smear him back. Its hitting a guy with the pitch. Next inning the other team gets one.

Any adult that would harm a child is a punk. Regardless of what happened, I would stomp the life out of any man that laid a finger on my child.
