I say Pittsburgh. i know Roethilisberger isn't playing but they're still the superbowl winning team. We know they play great D and that they will run the football. Miami, i'm just not sold on. First of all, everyone is so relieved that they have culpepper now. Let me point out one thing: He sucked last year when he was completely healthy. i don't expect him to do that poorly again, but come on now people. He really played awful at the beginning of last season and until he proves that it was an abberation, you can't dub him the savior of the franchise. Second, Miami has a very questionable offensive line. This coupled wtih the steelers great run defense leaves little doubt that miami won't provide much of a running game tonight. This means they rely on passing and their defense. Their defensive line is a solid unit with lots of run blockers, but they have little in the way of a pass rush besides Jason Taylor. Batch isn't the best QB and you would normally want to pressure him, but the dolphins wont be able to do it. Lastly, Miami has a VERY questionable secondary. They have what, 3 or 4 new starters? With that kind of turnover ratio, don't expect much. This means Batch will not only have the time to throw (no pass rush) but also open receivers to hit. The steelers will win, but don't expect it to be pretty. I expect a cut of that 5 dollars btw. maybe a $1.50?

Pittsburgh - They are a far superior team than Miami. Even if Ben is not in, they will revert back to there old ways of pounding the ball on the ground and time of possession. Their D is healthy and if you are worrying about Batch being in, Its better hes in now than the 4th or 5th game of the year because he has just come off preseason taking allot of snaps. Where as later in the year he wont even get to touch the ball during practice.

Miami because they have Daunte Culpepper, Ronnie Brown, Chris Chambers putting points on the board. The Steelers are without their starting Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, and the star receiver Hines Ward is injured but playing. The Pittsburg Defense is a little better, but I would have the give the edge to the team that can score the most points(MIAMI).....LOL.

Defently Miami .. Pittsburgh fans just dont get it..they will not even be in the play offs this year they lost too much of their talent and have no franchise rb even .. even with big ben healthy they are not even a contender this year.. so thay should roll up in a fuzzy blanket and play last years tapes to feel better.

the game has bounced all over the board for days now. from Pittsburgh -3.5 to +1.5 to pick-em. the spread is there to get people to bet both sides and line movements reflect major news, such as injury's. the Superbowl champion steelers are without their quarterback, their best receiver, the bus retired, and Miami plays well on national TV.
take the over (34.5)

Miami. Charlie Batch is a terrible replacement for Ben Roethlisberger

Miami, Charlie Batch is the Steelers QB, think about that for a moment.

Str8 up? or are their points involved?

If it's str8 up, i'd go Steelers. the steeler's system doesn't depend on the QB to make plays, just to not screw things up. The Steeler D can hold Miami.

If there is a point spread involved, i'd have to know the spread.
