The NBA Spurs head coach Popovich starts every season with one goal which is to win the championship.

Is Spurs Head Coach Popovich one of the best coaches in NBA history considering that the Spurs have the best winning percentage of any major American sports team franchise over the last 10 yrears, and the Spurs have joined the Lakers, the Celtics, and the Bulls as the only four NBA franchises in NBA history to win at least four NBA titles with all four NBA titles won by the Spurs have been under Coach Popovich in the era of free agency in a small market with limited salary money considering that Coach Popovich built his 1999 championship team in less than two years, rebuilt his 2003 NBA championship in only two years with multiple new starters, rebuilt his 2005 NBA championship Spurs team in only two years with multiple new starters, and, again rebuilt his 2007 NBA championship Spurs team in only two years with two new starters. Who rebuilds teams faster in pro sports history?

So if lebron or future franchise players or most important players of teams want to win a championship have them remove their headbands hahaha

Anyways but that doesn't excuse not playing defense or not developing a mid range game or not making free throws or not coming thru in the clutch...LEBRON NEEDS TO WORK ON EVERY ONE OF THOSE THINGS TO WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP

Anyways, Congratulations to Tony Parker and the spurs for the championship

Kudos to cavs and lebron for a great season and for making the last 2 games very closer

Here's my attempt:

The Spurs win again
Cavs can't throw it in ocean
America yawns

The only NBA franchises to win at least 4 NBA titles,

The San Antonio Spurs have won all of their NBA titles in the last nine years in the Tim Duncan era under Coach Popovich:

1999
2003
2005
2007

During the last ten years, the San Antonio Spurs have the best winning percentage of any major professional sports team franchise in America all during the Tim Duncan era in Tim Duncan's 10 year NBA career.

It is well known that NBA commissioner David Stern has focused on the globalization of the NBA over the last several years. For example, scheduling preseason games in Asia and changing the Rockets uniforms to resemble the China national team's uniform has set precident for his vision. The Spurs fit into the equation perfectly. With star players from Argentina, (Ginobili) and France, (Parker), what better team to serve as NBA embassadors than the Spurs? The issue is the subtle non enforcement of illegal dribbling by the NBA in the case of both players. Sure most NBA players carry the ball, but unlike the usual cross-over carrying, both Ginobili and most notably Parker push the basketball from one side of their body to the other. Talented players such as Kobe, instead, use their left and to change direction. It is clearly seen in the open court that Parker either puts his hand under, to carry the ball to the left or right, usually never changing hands. Conspiracy or bad officiating?

He took his team to the Finals by himself and without another star player. That's still something. No other player has ever done that. And he's only been in the league for 4 years. If I was LeBron, I wouldn't be disappointed at all.

2007-06-14 17:01:05 · 11 answers · asked by LaissezFaire 6

I know y'all are disappointed and probably pissed off, and you're probably gonna hear a lot of trash from my fellow Spurs fans. But speaking for myself, I want to congratulate your team for making the finals, and tell you that you have a very valuable player in Lebron James. He may not have had the best series but he never gave up and he always conducted himself with class.
Hope we see you again next year.

Guys are huddling around the TV over football games, the recent basketball tourney, etc. I, however, find myself completely oblivious to what's going on, and I don't really care. I did TRY to care at one point - I would force myself to watch games, I would force myself to like them by trying to be more engaged in why they are so interesting, and I have forced myself to even try to play them. Not only do I suck at team sports, I don't see why people make such a big deal out of it. I hear people yelling out team names, team mascots, yelling out random football player or basketball player names that I don't recognize.

I do realize that to be socially accepted as a guy, you have to have some interest in team sports, but no matter how hard I try, there is just nothing there. I no longer attempt to try to be something that i'm not, but is there something wrong with me? I feel very alienated sometimes..

ok i have a problem with my shot: for a long time now i have not been to shoot properly. Its not that i know this because the ball isnt going into the net like it used to, but that my form feels all wrong and ive tried everything to fix it.
but at the beginning of the year, for a long time straight, i was able to shoot with perfect form, smooth jumpers from anywhere on the court that i was consistently able to knock down.
But now, for about a month straight, i have completely lost my ability to shoot. i have no idea why. its not that i stopped playing or something. its that all of a sudden, one day, my entire shot was gone. i cant knock down jumpers from anywhere on the court.
this has always troubled me, as my ability to shoot properly always comes and goes in streaks. . it is my muscle memory that is messed up, i know that. but i dont know how to improve it. for years repeatedly shooting as best i could to try to improv bt it wont wrk. What do i do???? help me
