I think Dallas losing in the first round to Golden State was still the story. It was the first time ever that an 8 seed has beaten a 1 seed in a 7 game format. Dallas won like 66 games and was the favorite to win it all, and they happen to play against a team that they hadn't beaten in 2 years. Plus they had the so-called "MVP" Jerk Nowitski and choked big time. That story I will never forget!!!! Golden State was the feel good story of the playoffs so far.

1) A NBA ring for long time NBA vets Michael Finley and Jacque Vaughn.
2) Robert Horry's seventh NBA ring
3) Tim Duncan's fourth NBA ring in four tries
4) Tony Parker's and Manu Ginobili's third NBA rings in three tries

5) The facts that the Spurs won 3 games to 2 games in the Phoenix 2007 playoff series with complete rosters and the fact that the Spurs have defeated Phoenix 19 out of the last 24 meetings in both regular season and playoffs combined, so, I fail to understand how since the Spurs and Phoenix series only went six games why the Phoenix fans are still so sore when all wins and losses statistics comparing the Spurs and Phoenix clearly show that the Spurs are better than Phoenix. Or, is their a conspiracy theory that the NBA front office have devised 19 Spurs victories in the last 24 meetings of the Spurs and Phoenix.

The biggest story is your first I think. Dallas won 67 games to flush it down the toilet. Good job the Warriors.

The suspension with the suns. Diaw wasn't even a factor the last game and the Spurs were up almost 20 points.

Detroit letting Lebron score 48 pts.

Cavs winning four straight games.

Derron Williams rising up.

Miami lost to the Bulls a sweep.

without a doubtt the golden state warriors!!! i mean im not saying this becuase im from the bay area but the dallas mavericks lost to a very young team that gets no respect and everyone says is very thuggish and has a team of very small people and we shut down the mavericks..how does that not make the best story of the nba playoffs..or when lebron scored 29 of his teams 30 pts

I'm a Spurs fan but I think it was Dallas being whipped in the first round of the playoffs. I could have predicted the others but never that!

For the west it would definitely be Golden State beating Dallas. and in the East how about Jason Kidd averaging a triple-double through two rounds?

How much the NBA loves the Spurs. They allowed the Spurs to have a really easy conference finals and nba finals matchup and let the Spurs get away with a bunch of fouls in key situations.

It's gotta be TNT showing a clip of Big Shot Bob answering how he's able to hit the big one time and time again ("I don't think about it, it's just a game) and then proceeding to showing him tactlessly throw Steve Nash down. Way to go, Cheap Shot Bob.

but otherwise #1. After winning that many games (and w/ the MVP for the season) and then going out to dead last, pretty embarrasing.
