The Cavs are stinking up the finals to a point that it diminishes a Spurs championship.

Why?

2007-06-14 16:00:53 · 13 answers · asked by Anonymous

First of all, its never fun to watch the finals when a team is leading 3-0 (because the team with the lead is obviously going to win). Even in the beginning of the series, we already knew the spurs would win. What makes it really boring is that there is nothing really spectacular to be seen in this series. The spurs defense wears out the cavs to the point where they can't do anything exciting since they are tired. The cavs could never make a big run. People were saying '', oh if the pistons make it to the finals with the spurs, it would be a boring series. Hopefully the cavs beat the pistons.'' Yeah but I bet it would have been a better series if it were the pistons and the spurs. Cavs don't match up well with the spurs, but the pistons match up well with the spurs. All the spurs have to do to beat the cavs is to stop lebron and they win, since the other players on cleveland are inexperienced. Eric snow made it to the finals before, but he is not doing crap this series.

I'm a Pistons fan, and I totally think the Cavs got to the Finals on a fluke. The Spurs are a great team, I'll admit, but at least we (the Pistons) wouldn't be sweeped :)

Yknow, he's definitely not having a banner night but I respect him. He might not make it now, but he has potential to be something really good. He's a humble, good, inspiring team player and if given the right role players, his team can actually be the one to beat. It's easy to forget that the Spurs at one time were a perennial lottery team just like his, until they got Duncan and Popovich. While he has not brought Cleveland a championship in the second year in the league like Duncan, he lifted them higher than they would have ever been given the fact that the balance of the team was mediocre. He didn't ask for the media to crown him "the next MJ" neither did he ask for people to do what they're doing. If anything, he's a victim of the hype machine that is paying him. He's got that killer instinct and that drive to succeed and that is why he is going to make something of himself.

I lost interest when Phoenix and Detroit got knocked out. I watched the first two games, but then quit, because I knew the Cavs were only going to let me down.

I am a huge spurs fan, being from san antonio and all. But i have this feeling that the play-offs are fixed. that they let the spurs win the first three games, just so that the cavs could have an amazing comeback.
do you think the play-offs are fixed?

Turn the game into 4 on 4. Make the hoop and court bigger. No longer allow double teams and allow offensive fouls. Change the playoffs so that after round 1 the teams are reseeded without reguards to conferences (ie Spurs and Nets could play eachother). Also change the draft lottery so worst teams are guaranteed top three pick.

Bill Russells Celtics, Magic and Kareems 1980s Lakers and Michael Jordans Bulls in the 90s are all obvious dynasties.

Would you consider the 80s Celtics with Bird and McHale a dynasty, they won 3 Championships in the 80s, none back to back.

How about the Pistons, who won back to back titles in 1989 and 1990?

Or Shaqs Lakers in early 2000 that won 3 straight?

Most people call these teams dynasties, do you?

Pre: to be a contender: must have reached the finals and are beaten by the team that went to the finals.
(inclusive scale)
1. to be a champion: Most have won a title

2. to be "a" dominate team in their era:
Most be very close to having the same team makeup while winning a title and in contention for a title more than once.

3. to be "THE" Domnate team of their era:
a. Most have dethrone a rival Champion while winning more than 3 titles within a certain time frame,.
b. or wining several back to back titles if there are no rivals
and beat a proven contender

4. to be a dynasty:
most have won back to back without exception

5. to be a dynasty for the ages:
Most have won 3 titles in a roll and or won back to back titles plus additional titles within a reasonable time frame.

Spurs not quite a dynasty but definetly "THE dominate team" of the their era

Yes Kobe Bryant may be a ball hog, but there is a reason. He has not support, ever since Shaq left. He's pretty much doing everything by himself. Well, he has to since no one can score. Any opinions?

It's time to ask the IMPORTANT questions! If these two had to strap on some skates, who would win? Who could do better a better triple axel? Is it Air Jordan or the Black Mamba?
