Turn the game into 4 on 4. Make the hoop and court bigger. No longer allow double teams and allow offensive fouls. Change the playoffs so that after round 1 the teams are reseeded without reguards to conferences (ie Spurs and Nets could play eachother). Also change the draft lottery so worst teams are guaranteed top three pick.

Also make the shot clock 18 seconds and make the players go to college for three years.

Since it aint broke DON"T fix it. Start your own league and see if you can make it work. Like arena football it's just not the same as good ole NFL. Leave it alone, ain't broken.

Hell no, it would make the game worse off. The NBA was at it's peak when thier was great d-fence. Bring back the rule from the 90's. Make players earn thier points. That would make the NBA better. It wont solve all the answers but it would be a great start.

Second I agree with the reseeding, but only withen the confrence. Take the division winners and the four best other teams and reseed them according to thier record. So

round 1

1 would play 8
2 would play 7
3 would play 6
4 would play 5

round 2 winners advance as always

1 or 8 winner would play the 3 or 6 winner
2 or 7 winner would play the 4 or 5 winner

round 3 winners advance again and play each other.

And the team with the best record gets home cout advantage.

That is what would make the NBA better.

Well it depends on what you think is the problem with the NBA. It sounds like you think there is too much defense and not enough offense. If this is the case your ideas would work. There would not be that much defense involved. However, how would you reseed team in playoffs? what would be the rules for this... In addition if the worst teams are guaranteed top three picks you will be seeing a lot of teams losing on purpose to get those picks...

What?

What they need to do is bring back the hand check.

or other than that

Have all the great players in the 80's drink the fountain of youth, and have them play basketball again.

This generation of the NBA sucks, no passion, no defense, no team unity.

Changing the playoff scenario is already under discussion but your other suggestions are way off.

That would be messing with the fundamentals of basketball and you'll end up with a totally new game.

The suggestions in your first two lines will never happen and would not make the game better. The re-seeding in the play-offs has been considered, and the rules on lottery picks are always being tinkered with.

The only thing that can fix the NBA is getting more players that are about winning and playing the game, and not just about self ego.

Leave it alone...It isn't broke...What is broke is what so many have become to expect from the game. And how can anyone say no defense and no team unity when you look at the Spurs?
