I don't think so. Scottie Pippen had a very good career, and he was an excellent player, but his career was not as good as Wilkins' or Isiah's and more importantly, at the time he was not as good as Dominique Wilkins or Isiah Thomas. Michael Jordan probably had a lot do with with that.

MJ made sure that Thomas wouldnt make the team. Thomas shut Jordan out of shot attempts in MJ's first all star game so MJ got him back.

Wilkins wasnt snubbed, he had an off season ankle repair.

As far as Pippen the player, let me describe what it was to watch him since most of you didnt live in chicago and bulls games werent on the internet and there wasnt direct tv, so let me tell you as a first hand witness, Pippen struggled with his erratic jumper alot, Pippen had a nice hook shot that he developed by the 93 season, he was good at put back dunks and running the floor and getting in an open lane waiting for the pass from MJ.
Pippen when he came into the league was like Tyrus Thomas, he could show you a nice play or two but he had no offensive game at all, Jordan literally groomed him. Go to youtube and search for the Jordan IMAX movie and Phil Jackson explains how much that Jordan helped out Pippen and the movie actually shows you the tendencies that Pippen took from Jordan's offensive game, it's cool.

Pippen was always his own man on defense, ball distribution and rebounding, Pippen's hustle alone was olympic/all star worthy. Tenacious.

I wouldnt say snub for Isaiah, I would just say lesson learned, that was the GOAT you shut out in the all star game

(isaiah told all the guys on the east team "dont give the ball to Jordan" directly before MJ's first all star game)

jordan was already a freak as far as scoring and Isaiah did not like him. Jordan had already put up over 40 points on the Pistons and even had a game over 10 assists as a kid against the feared Pistons who were on the verge of greatness.

(as long as alpha quits making up b.s. about Jordan and posting those fake stats, I will lay off, if he does it again, I am giving Paco the green light.)

Scottie Pippen all-around game was one of the best during his career. He may not have had to score in the high 20 per game, but it was all the other things he did that made him an all-star.

For example after the Bulls were down 2-0 against the Lakers in the 91 Finals, Phil decided to put Scottie on Magic. And it payed off, we went on to win the first championship.

And by the way if you look at the Bulls history you would see that Pippen is on the top of every record their is. Pippen had the all-round game. He could kill teams in many ways.

And if he did not get a BS foul cal on him the he would have lead the Bulls the the 94 Finals.

You can diss Pippen for being Pippen. He was a great player. Ideal if anything. Does it really matter? The Dream Team won the Gold. Thomas would have been a fifth or sixth guard and Dominique was great but had no championships to show for it.

Pippen is one of the most underrated players of altime. However he was nobody, when compared to wilkins or thomas. MJ was and always will be the best of all time, Pippen was good , but not as good as wilkins or thomas

I think Pippen Certainly was worthy of the dream team... The man might not have been big BEFORE jordan, but that just means he had a friend who taught him alot as well. He certainly was no pushover and was an amazing player in his own rights. He will be in his own place in the Hall of Fame, not for being MJ's sidekick, but for being a great player.

Pippen belonged on the team.

btw, Jordan was the worst player out there except for Christian Laettner.

Here are the stats for the 92 Olympic Team...

http://www.usabasketball.com/history/moly_1992.html

Jordan took 113 (!) shots in those games, Barkley was 2nd in FGA with only 83... Barkley was our leading scorer because he shot 71% from the field and 88% from 3 point land.

Jordan shot 45% from the field (21% from 3 point land)... Jordan and Laettner were the only members of the team to shoot under 50% from the field for the tournament... Jordan shot .451, Laettner .450... jeez, lucky for Michael that Laettner was there to bail him out of being the worst (by far) shooter on the entire team. I'll bet Thomas would have done better than that. Jeez, Jordan couldn't even hit 70% of his free throws.

The 92 team could have been the most dominant Olympic team over...they weren't because not only did Jordan take 36% more shots than anyone, he couldn't hit a shot to save his life... the '56 team won by about 55 points/game, the 92 team should have done that, and they would have, if Jordan wouldn't have shot so much (especially since he wasn't hitting anything). The 92 team won their games by about 44 pts per game...

Pippen shot .596 from the field, slightly exceeding the team average. So he did just fine... Jordan and Laettner were the ones who brought the team down (if you could call it that... like I said, they should have broken all records for dominance, but they couldn't , entirely because of Jordan's poor play).

Jordan wouldn't belong on Dream Team without Pippen. Without Pippen, Jordan didn't win squat. He would have been another Dominique without Pip.

Pippen did belong. He was already one of the best perimeter defenders at that time.

Pippin made defensive player of the year 7 times. He had the complete game and could score if needed, great rebounder and was always in top 10 in assists

To tell the ttruth Jordon wouldn't have been as good without Pippen.
