I think they should be because i think JamesOnn Curry is the best college player ever!!!

You can also have college players too, because I want Greg Oden. If you want to worry about clashing egos, go ahead, but I wont give you crap if you dont.

LeBron James, Forward- Hes amazing. And he isnt even close to his best years. He is just now starting to win games singlehandedly too

Greg Oden, Center- He is something else. Judging by his college play, he would be a force and a half in the paint and a threat to anyone. I would have Shaq, but I dont know how much more he has in him.

Steve Nash, Guard- Hes going to get his 3rd straight MVP, he is the league leader in assists, and he could lead this team. He is a great player and would be the cornerstone of any team.

Kevin Garnett, Forward- Hes a rebounding machine, he'll put up 23 points every night. He will also bring 11 years of NBA experience to the table.

Gilbert Arenas, Guard- Hes lights out, clutch, and puts up big numbers. Hes agent zero. I dont really like him that much, but come on.

I know there's a small time difference but I don't think that accounts for the vast gap.

My take:
PG: Magic Johnson: redefined position and was the consumate floor leader. Always played big in championships games.
SG: Michael Jordan: I could write a book on why he's the greatest. My favorite stat: 6 Rings AND 6 Finals' MVPs.
C: Shaq O'Neal: This is the toughest position. For me it's the 3 straight championships AND Finals' MVPs is the difference.
SF: Larry Bird: Three straight regular season MVPs and legendary playoff performer. 3 rings ... would have had more if not sharing with Magic.
PF: Tim Duncan: This isn't close as it looks. Great at both ends. 3 Rings and 3 Finals MVPs are obviously the difference. Magic, Jordan and Shaq are the only others with at least 3.
Other thoughts: I think Oscar Robertson is the clear number 2 at PG. At SG I'll give Kobe Bryant the nod over Jerry West. C: I'll go Abdul Jabbar as #2, sorry Bill Russell. PF #2 is Malone, but just barely over Barkley. For SF I think its Elgin Baylor.

I'm looking for analysis, with the idea being to compare Jordan versus Kobe at the height of their respective athletic powers.
The career numbers already belong to Jordan. Kobe isn't going to win 10 scoring titles or 6 Finals' MVP awards. So just worry about comparing there games.
My take is this: Jordan was a more explosive athlete and the more tireless on both ends of the floor. Kobe is the FAR superior long-range shooter and, when he wants to be, slicker passer. But I don't think Kobe has ever dominated both ends of the floor like Jordan. DEFENSE
Speed: Jordan
Quickness: Jordan
Defense: Jordan, by a mile ...
Passing: Kobe
Jumping: Jordan
Explosiveness/first step: Jordan
Ball handling: Kobe
3-point shooting: Kobe by a mile ..
Mid-range shooting: Kobe
At the rim: Jordan
Post game: Kobe
Late game shooting: Kobe, although Jordan became mr. clutch later
Energy: Not close. Jordan not only attacked the rim constantly, he was also THE defensive stopper on the other

Some Mavericks fan said on yahoo answers,
"i really do not like the GSW they have good fans but i just don't like their team"

Is that because the Warriors always beat the Mavs? Was at the game when the Warriors won 117-100. Wow. How do you as a Mavericks fan like the Warriors?

Can someone explain to me how does the NCAA tournament start? Did it start? When it started? And can someone explain how to be in the tourney, and how you get in (like what seed to play and what divisions play what)?
Explain everything you can think of.
10 points is for the person who explains the most
I'm ok if the answer is long.

Without a doubt. How many people you know at age 40 could score 40 & more points in a pro league, score 38 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assist, 3 steals, 1 block with the FLU in the NBA Finals, and average 26.9 ppg & score 55 points being out of shape & rusty (he done that after returning for the last 17 games in 95)?

As I describe, MJ at his worst is better then most at their best. MJ is the best athlete to ever exist.

p.s. The only athlete that comes close to MJ at age 40 is Benard Hopkins. That guy is amazing at 40. He's beating these younger boxers like he is still in his 20's. But the question is, is Michael Jordan the greatest athlete ever? Not the best aging athlete.

Take the teams that finish with the top 16 records and pair them off (regardless of conference). The team with the best record would play the team with the 16th best record, the team with the second best record would play the 15th best team (etc...kinda of like the brackets in the NCAA tournament). This way a team from the east could play a team from the west in any of the four playoff rounds (not just the NBA Finals). It would create interesting new matchups, and rivalries. It gets a little dull seeing the same teams play one another every single year in the post season. Also, by taking the top 16 teams with the best records (regardless of conference) your not allowing for say, a team that is the ninth seed in the west, not making the field, while a team thats the sixth seed in the east, but has a worse record, qualifing. I mean why punish a better team, just because the opposite conference is weaker? Also, make all the series best 3 out of 5, so that each game carries more importance
