My take:
PG: Magic Johnson: redefined position and was the consumate floor leader. Always played big in championships games.
SG: Michael Jordan: I could write a book on why he's the greatest. My favorite stat: 6 Rings AND 6 Finals' MVPs.
C: Shaq O'Neal: This is the toughest position. For me it's the 3 straight championships AND Finals' MVPs is the difference.
SF: Larry Bird: Three straight regular season MVPs and legendary playoff performer. 3 rings ... would have had more if not sharing with Magic.
PF: Tim Duncan: This isn't close as it looks. Great at both ends. 3 Rings and 3 Finals MVPs are obviously the difference. Magic, Jordan and Shaq are the only others with at least 3.
Other thoughts: I think Oscar Robertson is the clear number 2 at PG. At SG I'll give Kobe Bryant the nod over Jerry West. C: I'll go Abdul Jabbar as #2, sorry Bill Russell. PF #2 is Malone, but just barely over Barkley. For SF I think its Elgin Baylor.

No, no, I didnt forget Wilt. He is not in the top-3. Why? 1) He posted his ridiculous scoring numbers against mostly 6-foot white dudes, yet he never won a championship until he was well past his prime.
2) he wound up with 2-championships, and only one Finals MVP. Russell was the only other guy in the league early on near his size (6-foot-9) and he gave Wilt fits. Imagine Shaq against that competition!!
I think Wilt has competition at Number 4 from Hakeem Olajuwan, who was a better defensive center and also won 2 Championships (MVP both times).

Illya S: That is a cool lineup, but you can't put Garnett in over Bird. That's blasphemy!!

shutup, the spurs cant beat the rockets.
PF- Bill Russel. = what happened the the 11 championships? oh year, yall forgot about them.
SF- Kevin Garnett = he will win a championship when everthing is said and done. besides, how many 6 ft 10 people do u see who can play all 5 positions?
C- Hakim "the dream" = he had many different ways of scoring - posting up, shooting, and he could take it to the hoop. not just shaq and wilt who used size advantage to dominate. Hakim used pure skills and brains.
SG - Oscar Roberson = (i think i spelled his name wrong) averaged a triple double in an entire season. what else is there to say?
PG - Magic = Defenitely changed the position for good. his style (no look passes were grea) and his will to win is why i put him here over the other greats.

PG: Magic (the smartest)
SG: Jordan (the greatest)
C: Chamberlan (with Magic dishing dimes, there is no contest)
SF: Garnett (he will destroy people at this position)
PF: Shaq (now we're winning by an average margin of 75 in todays league)

P.S. You didn't say that they have to play their natural positions.

My dream team could be the Anaheim Contenders surprising right here in Anaheim, CA, abode of the subsequent Stanley Cup champs, the geese! besides, i might have Brodeur and Hasek as my goalies. On protection, could be S. Neidermeyer and Chris Pronger. center could be Joe Thornton RW-Teemu Selanne LW - Brendan Shanahan Now: my team colours could be Orange, Black, Teal, purple, Blue. Captain could be Neidermeyer. Alternates could be Selanne and Shanahan. it extremely is clever hockey. speed, brains and ability. the fee comes from Selanne and Shanahan. Brains from Neids and ability from anybody! My dream team takes on actual all and sundry!
