Im sure the last team Mavericks fans are worried about is the Golden State Warriors. But I'm sure when they're interviewing NBA finals MVP Dirk Nowitzki after the Mavs beat the Pistons in 5, the first thing he will say is "Those Warriors gave us a run for our money....We're lucky to be here after that 117-100 loss they gave us. Whew!" After that 2OT loss to Phoenix, and with San Antonio on a tear, they've got plenty of GOOD teams to worry about. Its like the Pistons worrying about the Celtics.
ADDENDUM: (for all those unenlightened) There is absolutely NO possible way that GS would beat Dallas in a best of seven series. so don't even say there's a chance.

Honestly, I was surprised the Mavs lost their home game with Golden State. They unveiled the Western Conference championship banner that night and it was the return of Nellie. Since then most Mavericks fans myself included just chalk it up to a bad 4 game stretch to start the season. And until Monday night I didn't even know the Warriors were in the playoff hunt still. They have been a team of rotating players in recent years. I think it was a nice win for Golden State something they can put a feather in their cap over. As for the Mavericks their sites are on the NBA championship and Phoenix, San Antonio, Houston, Utah, Detroit, and Miami stand in the way. I don't give Golden State a second thought and doubt the Mavericks do either.

im a warriors fan but i dont want to get too cocky and say we always beat the mavs. i bet you the mavs can beat the warriors in a 7 game series. we might get 1 or 2 if we are lucky but not 4. dallas is too good for us right now, especially since we arent really that great on defense, its not the lack of effort or heart, its the lack of personnel and size. we just dont have any other good rebounder except biedrins. true we have beaten the mavs 4 straight times, but even i know, the warriors arent on the mavs levels yet.
and yes the warriors do have great fans, how many fans would support a under 500 team like we support the warriors? last year the warriors were top 10 in home attendence. which means we draw more fans that some playoff teams do.

You don't have to win 'em all, just the last one. The Mavs will clip down the nets before The Warriors do.
