I'm looking for analysis, with the idea being to compare Jordan versus Kobe at the height of their respective athletic powers.
The career numbers already belong to Jordan. Kobe isn't going to win 10 scoring titles or 6 Finals' MVP awards. So just worry about comparing there games.
My take is this: Jordan was a more explosive athlete and the more tireless on both ends of the floor. Kobe is the FAR superior long-range shooter and, when he wants to be, slicker passer. But I don't think Kobe has ever dominated both ends of the floor like Jordan. DEFENSE
Speed: Jordan
Quickness: Jordan
Defense: Jordan, by a mile ...
Passing: Kobe
Jumping: Jordan
Explosiveness/first step: Jordan
Ball handling: Kobe
3-point shooting: Kobe by a mile ..
Mid-range shooting: Kobe
At the rim: Jordan
Post game: Kobe
Late game shooting: Kobe, although Jordan became mr. clutch later
Energy: Not close. Jordan not only attacked the rim constantly, he was also THE defensive stopper on the other

Brain - your analysis is solid, except Jordan's post game was better than Kobe's.

N.O.
Michael Jordan is the sh*t. He may have tarnished a little coming out of retirement but he also has more class than Kobe could ever see from a distance. Stats can't buy that.
