Scenario A:

A player attempts a Field Goal but his shot is blocked just as he releases the ball. The defender gets a Blocked Shot, but does Player A get a Field Goal Attempt in the game statistics?


Scenario B:

A player attempts a field goal but his shot gets swatted away at the basket. The defender gets called for Goaltending, but does Player A get a Field Goal Attempt in the game statistics?

LAST YEAR I COMPLAINED ABOUT THE NBA REFEREES, WELL I GUESS IT REALLY DIDN'T DO ANY GOOD, THEY ARE WORSE THIS YEAR!!!! THEY CALL PETTY CALLS AND LET THE OBVIOUS FOULS GO TO THE WAY SIDE, I WOULDN'T BLAME THE PLAYERS IF THEY DECIDED TO GO ON STRIKE BECAUSE OF THE REFEREES CALLS, I SUBSCRIBE TO THE NBA PASS THROUGH MY DISH AND I AM VERY UPSET THAT THE REFEREES ARE CALL SUCH BACK CALLS, THE FIGHT THAT THE NUGGETS WERE IN LAST YEAR, WELL THAT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN, THE PLAYERS ARE GETTING VERY FRUSTRATED WITH THE REFEREES AND THAT CAUSES FIGHTS. I PROBABLY WILL NOT SUBSCRIBE TO THE NBA PASS NEXT YEAR BECAUSE OF THE REFEREES. THEY SPOIL THE GAME OF BASKETBALL. LAST WEEK WHEN KWAME BROWN WAS HURT ON THE FLOOR, DUE TO A FOUL, THE REFEREES IGNORED THE FOUL AND LEFT HIM ON THE FLOOR, WHERE THE HELL DO THEY GET THESE REFEREES?

Alright I'm 5'6 and I can grab rim.

Today I tryed to dunk on the hoop in my high school but the ball just hits the rim.
How many inches do I need to dunk?

I tested my vertical today and my hand goes over the rim then I grabbed.

Did they do something illegal or something that set them back a number of years? They just have not had any players since the fab-five (Webber, Howard, Rose, etc.). I just watched their conference opener against Illinois that they won by 10 and are 13-3 but not ranked. (granted they got absolutely crushed by UCLA but still... who hasn't).

ok i play basketball for a highscool team any adivce for a small forward i mean i usllay pass the ball of shoot it very quick when i get it plz give me adivce on what to do with the ball once i get also
and adive on a being a better small forward would be apricated

I am freshman in highschool and i really good in basketball. I usally play with my freinds and pic up games places. Now 1 of the coaches in the highschool team picked me for his team as he watched me play. He wanted me to play as a small forward and sometimes a shootin gaurd. Now i all of a sudden i suck i mean i have never actully played on a real team before and i am usally good and everythin when i play with other people but however when i play with my team i suck. I was wondering if u guys could give me any advice on playin as a small forward because i am use to play gaurd and the coach only wants me to play small forwad also i know i lack a lil confident too so if u could plz encouge me i need this badly
