Yea dude I know how you feel... kind of. It might just be you’re not mentally prepared. You say you lack a lil confident that’s where the problem is at. You need to be sure of your self. If you miss a three don’t worry about. Just keep playing hard. I kind of had the same problem. When I played pick up I could shoot 6/10 3 pointers. But when I tried out for my basketball team I couldn’t do shiz. I was so nervous... and timid not trying to offend anyone but I was timid of black people. After all they are more athletic and can do more things on the court. So every time you play just be confident. Reassure yourself you can do things. After all you’re spending a lot of time practicing. So you shouldn’t put your talent or practicing to a waste in games. The other thing is try to have a little bit of fun... and be competitive at the same time. If you try to be perfect you’re just going to end up missing stuff. Just try to use everything you learned in practice and you can do it. Last thing I don’t know if you’re like this but a lot of people are selfish in basketball. I can understand some are doing it to go into college, but it takes 5 people to win. So don’t be selfish. Play hard, run hard, work hard, and have confidence.

I used to get that way as well. It's probably pressure to try and prove something to the coach. My advice just go with the flow and remember it's a fun game to play. You don't have to be the best on the team and they now that. good luck and have fun!!

#1 talk to your coach....coaches like it when you come to them for advice...that makes them think that you are really trying to get better
