He's always had that power, and lost around 15 pounds during the off - season, and shortened his swing to concentrate at the plate. Also, this is his contract year. No one seems to be mentioning that, but he is in the last year of his contract, and people always do better in contract years

I just realized that Mariano Rivera wore Jackie Robinson's number. I think that he should have to change it regardless of when they retired his number...because if Rivera gets into the Hall of Fame, he's going to be listed with Jackie Robinson's number. Do you think he should be able to keep it or should he have to change it?

Yeah i know the game is early so i will probably be dissapointed eventually when he goes back to his pathetic announcing which is mostly based on what Hollywood celebrity is at the game or what movie & tv show he saw.. He makes me mute the tv almost everytime he announces.

I umpired a game and this happened. My partner and I said it was a hit batter and we put him on first. The coach of the pitching team sait it would be a ball and when we said he wasn't right he blew up in our face. Who was right?

Seriously, that's like the only thing people talk about on here. It's about about how bad the Red Soxs suck or how bad the Yankees suck. I'm tired of it! Anyone else agree?

First game of the season. great outing, no walks, pleanty of strikeouts.
Next game, lasts 2 1/3 innings, walks 7 people, 4 in a row, and hits a guy with the bases loaded.
now, he just threw 20 strikes in a row, and 5 strikeouts in 3 innings so far. How can someone go from great to sucks to great in 3 games?

Why does he get to wear #42 when the league retired that number throughout baseball. It just shows that the Yankees have no respect...Unless there is a valid reason someone can give me why he wears #42.
